usual list, sans all the work stuff. For some reason my post-xmas resumption of theory etc seems to have taken its toll on my film consumption rather than on my reading.

So, it seems I am well behind on my lists so there'll just have to be a huge gap. 

reading: bugger all. The SO keeps reading me excerpts from The History Of The Cat (last night: why Imperial Romans prefer dogs) so I might have a look later.

Recent films inside.

Sadly, no spectacular results to report on the topic of my last diary, so far. Most days Im still filling my quota, don't get me wrong - but moving heavy furniture around for an entire week really takes it out of you.

We did that thing where you hire a van and move everything yourself. Our old house was huge, so we'd never noticed how much had piled up in there. I really do own an obscene number of books, some of which are utter tripe. Maybe it's time to throw out my Wilbur Smith collection (except for The Leopard Hunts in Darkness of course.)

The new house is lacking 24/7 net access, in fact right now it lacks so much as a telephone. I'm just about to move this computer over there, in what I hope will be the last van load of annoyingly heavy boxes and furniture.

I am just going to have to spy on you all from work for a while.

Am moving house next week. Which is stressful as hell but at least it's the kind of stress which leads to something good. Something, in fact, with a dishwasher and a heated towel rail.

Mmmm, nice, today I have about 8hrs of page creation and data entry using a content management system that was written by someone who (though very well meaning) is so much microsoft's bitch that, not only can you only use this cms under windows, but you can only use it with IE.

I stopped being bitter about no ftp access to this particular site years ago but this is really pushing it. My only consolation is the fact that the point of the cms is to ultimately farm out all data entry to the end users.

Having grown up poor is great, because no matter how little I make now, I am permanently convinced of my own good fortune and fabulous wealth.
